Are We a Good Fit?
I primarily work with individuals who have experienced something in their childhood or adulthood that continues to impact them and they want their life back.
Here are some common reasons why people land at ‘my doorstep’:
-
Diagnosed with PTSD and seeking healing
-
Been sexually assaulted, raped (or unsure what to even call it)
-
Been through a medical trauma or traumatic injury
-
Carrying guilt for something that happened
-
A certain time of the year brings up dread and painful memories
-
Replaying of a traumatic experience
-
Self view changed since ‘the thing’ happened
-
Having disproportionate reactions linked to a certain event
-
Wishing to erase a past experience to have a better life
-
Finding it hard to 'move on' from something tucked-away long ago
-
Wishing to unsee something awful
-
Another therapist has noted your past is impacting you still today
-
Connecting physical symptoms (IBS, tension, twitches, illness, localized pain, etc.) to a past trauma
-
Dividing life into ‘Before’ & 'After’ a life altering day

Unsure if you've been through a trauma?
Some people hesitate using the word 'trauma', wondering if what they went through 'qualifies' as such. If that's you, you can learn more about that here.

Unsure if you have PTSD?
This diagnosis is not just for war veterans, it captures a set of symptoms experienced after going through something difficult.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based, highly productive method of therapy that uses your brain’s natural healing process as the primary tool to treat traumatic and impactful experiences. It can bring quick and lasting relief to a variety of mental struggles and pains. EMDR was originally used to treat PTSD in war veterans and is now also used to alleviate the intrusive thoughts and feelings from other traumatic or upsetting experiences. You may be surprised ...
What is EMDR?

There are many misconceptions and stereotypes about what counseling is. If you have never been to counseling before, I welcome you and would like to fill you in on what to expect. If you have attended sessions in the past, therapists have different styles so mine may be different in some ways than what you have experienced so it may be helpful to check out.

- 50min Session: $150
- 90min Session: $225

I do not accept insurance, however, I can provide the necessary document for you to utilize your Out-of-Network benefits if you wish.

How will EMDR be different then the past therapy that I’ve experienced?
Will my insurance cover my sessions?
What if I’m on the fence about scheduling a session?
Will everything we talk about in sessions be private?
I want to book a session, how do I get started?

"One day or day one. You decide.”
