How I can help:

As if going through something traumatic wasn't difficult enough, the lasting effects of intrusive thoughts, emotions, and even medical illnesses can easily become exhausting.  If something has happened in your life that was distressing and is causing you to feel and 'be' ways that you'd like to change, then you're in the right place. 


I will provide you with effective ways to cope with life today as well as heal the original cause to give you lasting results. 

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a method I use that utilizes the natural healing process of your brain to alleviate the emotional pains that are stuck and attached to memories from your past.  Commonly used to treat PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), it is highly productive and is a different experience than typical talk therapy with results seen significantly quicker.  

Who I am:

Well, I'm glad you asked! My name is Brittani Antunes, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix who is passionate about empowering others to experience life free from the seemingly invisible forces of trauma.  

I specialize in alleviating the emotions and effects that follow you from painful memories and experiences.   


My goal is that when you spend time in my office you will feel a sense of safety, comfort, and freedom from judgment.

We all have a story.


We added to it yesterday and we will continue to add to it in the days to come. It is no secret that our past impacts who we become. We are a sum of our experiences- those we cherish and also those that we perhaps wish didn’t carry so much weight- they all mold how we think and view the world. It turns out that it is very possible to lessen or even eliminate the impact of certain events from our past, allowing us to live with much more comfort and freedom.  Whether you’re feeling shame, guilt, anger, or fear we can reduce those feelings and live a more fulfilling life.  Those pictures and scenes that keep replaying in your mind, we can get rid of those too. 


I am on a mission to spread that relief to as many people as possible and that’s why I have created Next Chapter Counseling.
